The system analysis of the air environment condition in an average statistical city on the basis of the long-term monitoring of dangerous and harmful emissions from industrial plants and the city infrastructure has been performed. The physical model of the calculation of secondary transformations has been developed using the Gibbs method of the energy minimization under the worst weather conditions, on which basis the detailed thermodynamic analysis of possibility of the chemical transformations of the air environment has been carried out while atmosphere monitoring in a city.

The physical and chemical properties of gallium and its role in modern microelectronics have been described. The up-to-date methods of purifying gallium from impurities and recycling of the waste treatment have been presented. A scheme for processing various wastes of the gallium refining process has been proposed. The experiment on gallium separation from the multicomponent eutectics has been presented.

One of the solutions to the problem of accumulating of polyethylene packaging at solid waste landfills is usage of modified polyethylene. The decomposition of such polyethylene under natural conditions permits to reduce the damage from the environmental pollution. In this work, based on the methodology for assessing the prevented environmental damage and the Biodegradable program the method for rapid assessment of environmental and economic efficiency of replacing plastic packaging with oxo-degradable materials in a selected area has been proposed. The source data are the area, its population and the cost of modified polypropylene, it has been determined that when packaging is replaced with the oxo-degradable analogues, the place it occupies at the landfill will be set free after about 1.5 years, which will reduce the cost of restoring the land resources and will prevent the land loss as a result of the prolonged degradation.

To assess the thermodynamically stable forms of the substance depending on the potential of its redox pairs and the activity level of the medium the method of constructing the Purbe diagram is used. In the work the method of constructing the Purbaix diagram using the Microsoft Excel software has been proposed. The given technique is suitable for use, has sufficient accuracy, permits to perform the diagram construction in absence of the specialized programs, accelerates the process of the diagram construction. The flexibility of calculations is provided due to the fact that a user can add new dependences and functions and to obtain the three-dimensional diagrams.
