The dependence of the concentration of excess charge carriers on time during the photoconductivity damping process has been calculated. In the calculation the electrical neutrality violation has been taken into account, which has led to the necessity to use in the system of the equations, describing this process, the Poisson equation. As a result of the new system resolution, a very cumbersome nonlinear differential equation has been obtained. The criteria, while keeping to which this equation is reduced to the known one, traditionally used for describing the photoconductivity damping process after the light pulse break, have been found.
