The samples of the gas-sensing elements based on the films of polyacrylonitrile and cobalt-containing polyacrylonitrile have been fabricated. The gas-sensing characteristics of the samples in relation to nitrogen dioxide and chlorine have been determined. It has been determined that the gas-sensitivity of the materials depends on the composition of the initial film-forming solution and technological parameters of the material formation. The selectivity of the samples at working temperature 20 °C has been shown.
