Small space vehicles are intended for investigations of the Earth, the Moon, the Mars and, also, for organization of communication. The up-to-date approach to making up a section of specifications has been considered. This approach regulates the tests on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the components for small space vehicles. Two aspects have been considered: the formulation of the EMC requirements in the specification and normalization of numerical values of the EMC parameters. It has been shown that the terminology, adopted in the projects considered, differs from the requirements of the effective standards. It has been proposed while establishing the norms for electronic blocks as a part of small space vehicles to normalize the EMC modules, composing the block, as a separate technical characteristic of the block. The operative control methods stimulate developers to efficiently test the modules and in due time to make corrections in their construction.

The results of electromagnetic compatibility tests of the blocks of small space vehicles have been presented. For these tests as a field source, having a wire structure, a segment of the four-wire transmission line has been applied. The results of the study on homogeneity of the electric field inside the device have been presented. The device is suitable not only for testing the apparatus as a whole, but, also, for operative controlling the functioning of its main blocks at different development stages. The automation permits to exclude the errors of an operator and allows an approximately 20 times reduction of the tests time.
