The emulation of fault injection at the prototyping stage for Systems-on- Chip (SoC) is an efficient method for evaluating the system reaction to SEU effects. A new method of the automated SoC instrumentation for emuleted fault injection into embedded memory blocks has been presented. This approach has been successfully tested for the system with the OpenRISC1200 processor and has demonstrated the low hardware and engineering time overheads.
