One of the main problem of the microarc oxidation process is its poor controllability due to the lack of a systemic formalized description of the dependences of the properties of the oxide coatings on a wide range of heterogeneous influencing factors. In the work based on the methodology of the quality control and the systemic analysis of the relationships between the technological parameters of the micro-arc oxidation and the properties of the formed coatings have been systematized. The structure of an automated system for the controlled synthesis of the oxide coating has been proposed. It has been shown that a distinctive feature and an advantage of this system is the ability to set and control the process parameters as well as the coating parameters. The automation of the micro-arc oxidation process has been implemented through the proposed intelligent applications supporting the study of the parameters of oxide coatings, which include the methods and algorithms for measuring the parameters. The obtained results permit to reduce the time spent on the technology development and to optimize the process of synthesizing the oxide coatings.
