(The rules of drawing up manuscripts have been in force since January 30, 2025)
IMPORTANT NOTE! The manuscripts are accepted by the editorial team only with an available agreement on the copyright transfer. The articles recommended for publication in the journals Semiconductors and Russian Microelectronics, also should be accompanied by the agreements of the copyright transfer.
The scientific and technical journal “Proceedings of Universities. Electronics” publishes the original and review (invited contribution) articles in English and in Russian. The Journal focuses on advanced topics of electronics. The term “electronics” embraces micro-, nano-, opto- and acoustoelectronics, photonics, vacuum and microwave electronics. The Journal highlights technological, physical and circuit engineering aspects of these fields in electronics.
We welcome submissions on all topics listed above, with specific emphasis on the following areas:
- fundamental researches
- electronics materials
- technological processes
- integrated electronics elements
- circuit engineering and designing
- micro- and nanosystem technology
- electronic engineering
- integrated radioelectronic devices
- biomedical electronics
- information-communication technologies
- university education problems
- brief reports
The following should be submitted:
1. Hard copy of the article, including abstracts, figures, tables, references, the list of authors and the information about them, prepared on a computer and printed out on a laser printer on white paper of A4 format with clear and legible font.
2. The electronic version (soft copy) of the paper in Word format.
3. The expert advice, your institution’s letter of recommendation (for authors not affiliated with MIET) and cover letter on corporate letterhead.
4. The license agreement on the copyright transfer should be submitted in 2 copies (you can request the soft copy of fill-out license agreement form by email: magazine@miee.ru or download it here).
The hard copy of manuscript should be signed by all authors.
The recommended volume of publications: for an article – not exceeding 12 pages of text and 5 figures, for a brief report – not exceeding 4 pages of text and 2 figures.
Article structure
The article must contain introduction, main part and conclusion.
The title page of the article should be presented as follows: journal section in which the author(s) intend to publish their article; Universal Decimal Classification index (PACS); the article title; the initials and the name of the author; the name of the institution, where the work has been performed; abstract in Russian and in English, the keywords. Next follows the text of the article. The article pages should have through numeration.
Abstract:
Abstract should be structured and include the problem substantiation (introduction); the research methods; results and their discussion; conclusion. The recommended abstract size: 150…200 words.
The abstracts should be printed out on separate pages:
- in English – with the journal section name, article title, the author’s initials and name, and the name of the institution where they work (authors affiliation);
- in Russian – with the journal section name, article title, the author’s initials and name, and the name of the institution where they work (authors affiliation).
The abstracts should be followed by keywords in Russian and in English.
In the soft copy the abstracts in each language should be presented as separate text files.
Text formatting:
- text should be printed with double line spacing
and the font size not less than the standard typewriter size (point size 13, Times New Roman);
- paragraphs should be separated with one hard return, first line indent (0,75 cm) should be set in Word menu Format/Paragraph; typing should start from left margin with no hyphenation nor full justification used.
Equations:
For equations typesetting in MS Word the MathType 6.0 tool is used. Please use default settings of the equation editor Styles/Sizes. Displayed equations referred to in the text should be numbered serially ((1), (2), etc.) on the right-hand side. These equations should be typed as a separate line and centered.
Figures:
1. The line drawings and halftone figures (photos) may be presented in the following formats: JPEG/JPG, PNG, PDF, TIFF (without compression). Presentation of figure in other formats is only possible after consultation with editorial team and to the extent technically feasible.
2. Text and graphic elements on figures (on soft as well as on hard copy) should be readable and of sufficient quality.
3. Photos may be presented as grayscale hard copy on matt paper (preferably of 9×12 cm format).
Each figure should be supplied in a separate file. The figures should be mentioned and numbered (please write down figure number and author family name on the reverse side of each figure’s hard copy).
The inscriptions under figures (captions) should be enclosed as a separate file.
The tables should be necessarily mentioned in the text and should have headings.
References:
Please use this reference guide when preparing your paper.
Reference list should contain no less than 10 entries (in review articles – no more than 50 entries). In the article text, references are numbered sequentially through the text. The numbers should be given in square brackets, e.g. [1], [6-7] etc., and one number can be used to refer to several instances of the same reference. The reference list at the end of the article then lists the references in numerical order, not alphabetically.
The references to the non-published papers are not allowed.
The list of authors and the information about them:
- is drawn up as a separate file;
- it is necessary to indicate: surname, name, full patronymic (in Russian and in English); scientific degree, academic status; brief scientific biography, field of scientific interests (5-6 lines); occupational title and place of work (in Russian and in English), official and home addresses; official and home telephones, e-mail.
- please indicate the author in charge of the article promotion, for post-graduates – a scientific guide.
There are no submission fees, publication fees or page charges.
